Undip Collaborates “Independent Campus Program” with the Bank Indonesia Institute

On Tuesday, December 29, 2020, a cooperation agreement was signed between Diponegoro University and the Bank Indonesia Institute regarding the Independent Campus Program at Bank Indonesia.

The signing ceremony which was held virtually was held in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Widya Puraya Undip Tembalang Building. The signing of this collaboration by Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. as Undip Chancellor and Dr. Solikin M. Juhro who serves as the Head of the Bank Indonesia Institute.

This collaboration was established as a form of synergy between Bank Indonesia and institutions, including universities, to increase quality human resources. Bank Indonesia has several times collaborated with Undip.

The agreement this time has the theme “Independent Campus Program”, with a concentration on the central bank curriculum development program in conjunction with the Merdeka Learning program.

In collaboration with partner universities in Indonesia, Bank Indonesia aims not only as of the best central bank but also as the leading digital central bank for advanced Indonesia. This program trains knowledge skills and attitude, as well as increases the capability of students in managing a corporate university. “This program will be a continuous program with the help of university friends including Undip. Thank you to the Undip Chancellor for the cooperation between BI and Undip so far, hopefully, it will run smoothly according to plans “, said Dr. Solikin M. Juhro.

According to Prof. Yos, Undip made efforts in the midst of a pandemic so that he could do something useful for Indonesia. Now there are 5 Undip journals indexed by Scopus, and Undip as a research university continues to increase the publication of research results from the academic community and students.

Through this collaboration, Undip received teaching assistance related to Merdeka Belajar, and BI received publications and classes where the lecturers came from Undip and BI. “We welcome this collaboration. After signing the MoU, we hope that we can immediately implement the program. Thank you BI for the cooperation,” concluded Prof. Yos.

This program is a form of institutional support including universities in running the Merdeka Campus program. It is hoped that holding a program like this can assist the government in producing superior and accomplished human resources.
