is being good, good?

be good, they said

but good is not good

when you’re so entitled

you don’t get to define

what others do

what others feel

what others think

what others wear

or how others look

isn’t it ironic

if you judge others

when you know nothing

about them?

isn’t it hypocritical

if you think

that the good has a past

and the bad has a future

yet your heart is darkened

by your own judgment?

do you put yourself

on pedestal

while thinking

everybody

is jealous?

do you suppose

the Earth rotates around the Sun

and believe

the Sun needs it?

we are not

so important

in others’ lives

but ourselves

so don’t think

you’re entitled to

everything

and everyone

all of us

are just trying

to exist

be good

to others

have

some empathy

don’t

get entitled.
