Diponegoro University Ranks 241 as Best Universities in Asia by QS WUR Asia 2021

Realizing its mission to become a World Class University, Diponegoro University (Undip) shows its competence with superb achievements. QS World University Rankings Asia (QS WUR Asia) is part of the QS World University Rankings which lists the rankings of various universities and institutions in the world as well as for regions, one of which is the Asian region. In its assessment, QS WUR Asia assesses 11 indicators, which include academic reputation and graduates, publications, citations, foreign lecturers, and foreign students.
Based on the results of the QS WUR Asia 2021 ranking released Wednesday, November 25, 2020, on the https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/asian-university-rankings/2021,Undip was ranked 9th nationally and became the best university 241 in Asia. This result increased from the previous year’s position at 281–290 at the Asian level (QS WUR Asia 2020).
With the increasing ranking in the Asian arena, this is a reflection of the increasing quality of Undip. This success is certainly the result of hard work and cooperation from all parties to advance Undip to become a university with high integrity. The Undip Rector congratulated the achievements of all Undip academics and alumni for the contribution and participation of all parties. This is also the result of the synergy of 3 Undip organs, namely the Rector, the Board of Trustees, and the Academic Senate who also escorted Undip to improve its quality towards being ranked in the top 500 world-class (World Class University).
Apart from Asia and internationally, Undip also focuses on maintaining a good reputation as one of the PTNBH in Indonesia. Undip supports lecturers to conduct research and produce quality and highly reputable journals (indexed by Scopus). Undip also supports student positive activities, both on-campus learning activities, and off-campus learning activities as an implementation of the Freedom Learning policy. By improving the quality of human resources and facilities and infrastructure for teaching and learning activities, Undip hopes to achieve better achievements in the future.
Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, SH., M.Hum. express gratitude for the achievements. “The achievements have further solidified Undip as a world-class university supported by the quality of human resources and student achievements both nationally and internationally,” he stated.
